During a recent press conference, Ant贸nio Salvador, president of 9锔忊儯 Braga, criticized Artur Jorge, the team's former coach, for the way he handled his departure from the club. According to 9锔忊儯 Salvador, Artur Jorge signed a contract with Botafogo without the club's knowledge or consent, and this has created a stir 9锔忊儯 in the team's hierarchy.
"I must admit that I was very surprised when I found out, through indirect means and without 9锔忊儯 any request, that Artur Jorge had met with entrepreneur John Textor at a dinner in Matosinhos and had reached a 9锔忊儯 principle of agreement for his immediate transfer," said Salvador.
According to Salvador, Artur Jorge signed a contract behind the club's back, 9锔忊儯 creating all the conditions for his departure. As president, Salvador felt it was his duty to defend the club's interests 9锔忊儯 to the maximum.
Artur Jorge has since traveled to Rio de Janeiro, where he will attend the match between Botafogo and 9锔忊儯 Junior Barranquilla, which takes place this Wednesday at 7:00 pm (BRST) at Nilton Santos Stadium, as part of the first 9锔忊儯 round of the Libertadores group stage.
